About the Shop | Flying Panther Tattoo San Diego

Flying Panther Tattoo San Diego is more than a tattoo parlor. It is a community center and an art gallery. At Flying Panther, we believe in connecting with our friends and neighbors. As you can see on our Events blog, we regularly have parties and events to celebrate all our amazing family and clientele.

We love to give back both at the shop and at community events where we showcase our tattoos and artwork. Artist and owner, Rob Benavides, hosted a recent exposition on the history of tattooing in San Diego and has his art has been featured on Iron Fist shoes. Our Cinco de Mayo celebrations are legendary. If you are looking to get more than a fantastic tattoo in San Diego, you are welcome to become part of the Flying Panther family.

We hook up pretty regularly with the Roots Factory, a Barrio Logan grassroots creative art space and cultural center. They hold exhibitions of our tattoo art and help with our videos. It’s important to us to reach out to the larger San Diego community, so we like to promote our friends, too.

When you are tattooed here, we want you to know you are important to us and become part of our ‘family’.  We run a clean shop and your health is our major concern when you are getting tattooed. You can read more about our policies for tattooing on our Tattoo FAQ.
